You're at a Choice Point
Right now, you can choose a way of life that nourishes you and your family, or you can let others choose it for you. Not choosing is itself a choice.
Right now, you can choose a way of life that nourishes you and your family, or you can allow others to choose it for you.
That's the message I've been given for this season. We're at a choice point in history, as people and as leaders.
A choice point sounds dramatic.
Most of the time it looks ordinary: the team member you keep meaning to talk to, or the offer you've been "thinking about" since summer. Today is a choice point. So is tomorrow.
Not choosing is a choice
In 2022, I taught a training on leading with empathy. Near the end, I told the room that we live "in a world where sometimes not choosing is itself a choice."
This rings even more true today.
When you delay a decision, the decision still gets made. Someone else makes it, or time does. Each week you keep the status quo, you leave room for external forces to determine your next step.
Leaders feel this in a particular way. Your hesitation bleeds and compounds. Your team waits on you, and your family absorbs the stress you carry home. A decision you've postponed for a month has been shaping your days for that whole month.
The questions I'm asking this season
This theme keeps bringing me back to a few questions. I sit with them myself, and I bring them into my sessions with clients.
- What are you willing to tolerate?
- You have free will, so what are you doing with it?
- And with your days, your one life, what are you choosing?
The first one usually lands hardest. Tolerating the status quo is quiet. A situation you'd never choose on purpose can stay in your life for years because you got used to it and it's "not bad."
When pressure sounds like intuition
One of my March 2026 healings was for a client weighing a new partnership opportunity in her business. The partner kept following up, and she felt the pressure building while her answer stayed unclear.
When I followed up with her a week later, she said, "It was such a clear no. Alarm bells were ringing! I'm so grateful I didn't give in to the pressure and say yes."
Correlation does not imply causation, AND, I don't believe in coincidences.
What I notice in stories like hers is how much noise sits on top of a decision. Someone else's urgency can sound a lot like your own intuition. Other people's expectations and their need for an answer crowd the channel. When that noise clears, the answer is often already there, and it's simple.
That's a big part of what a healing supports: clarity of your vision and your next steps, with the confusion and other people's conditioning cleared away. You feel like yourself again, grounded and peaceful, and from there, decisions and next steps get easier.
How to choose on purpose this week
You don't need to overhaul your life to honor a choice point. Start with one decision.
Write down a decision or conversation you've been delaying. Then pray or meditate on it, and ask yourself what you'd choose if nobody were waiting on your answer.
Notice what happens in your body as you read each option back. A clear yes tends to feel like ease in the chest and an easy breath. A clear no can feel like your stomach tightening, or your shoulders climbing toward your ears. Every body is different, and learning your personal lexicon is part of the long-term strategic value of this exercise.
Then make the call, or set a date when you will. A date on the calendar turns drift back into a decision.
If you want more on keeping your inner compass in your own hands, read don't delegate your discernment. And if you've never had a healing and want to know what one is, start with spiritual healing for leaders.
Talk it through with me
If there's a decision you'd like to talk through, or a situation that needs to be unblocked, that's what my Sounding Board Session is for.
We meet one-to-one for 45 minutes. We start with where you are: what's working, and the decisions you're deliberating. I'll coach you to clarify your truth and define your next best steps. Afterward, I'll prepare an intuitively chosen healing to support you for the next 30 days.
